obese and lean- the war

kindly do not ask me what led me to write a little about this war.

Actually human beings have been fighting(read living) this battle all through their lives.

when god created men, he drew a few lines here and there on the stomach called abs
and on the ones he forgot to put some, he told them later- you can achieve the lines but of course, you would have to fight for it, make some sacrifices etc etc.

here's my little view of those people who do not have abs...oh sorry... who are not LEAN...they can be healthy they can be NOT OBESE but yeah...they do not have a six pack..

these people tend to say yes to the tasteless dessert which their wife's best friend cooked over the dinner just to make her happy
these people order NORMAL COKE WITH VODKA not DIET COKE because they know it makes a rat ass difference
these people when for some reason sleeping late at night do not worry about hunger pangs and just go to the fridge and eat whatever they want
these people do not look at each and every label at supermarket for what to eat and what not to.
these people would NOT exercise on SUNDAYS even if their life depended on it.

now a person who DOES maintain a good shape and has got abs and what not would be the exact opposite of what mentioned above.

OK..the people without abs do tend to have some problems in later life...they do look older..they suffer at some other levels emotional and physical. they may not exactly fall into the category of esthetic people...
look around- the models the babes the macho men...all lean and what not...
why...cuz at this stage they are WINNING the war..
WINNING...why...because of the media...
they make people who are obese as either the sufferers or ugly...
there can be a time when chubby would win...because they can call themselves to be in the transforming phase...i can see it..it's not so far..

if you look from a very broad prospect
you would notice.... god only gave us this option to confuse us.
think about it: the purpose of life...one of the most intriguing questions... is possibly to enjoy life...not to make sacrifices...take one side--and stick to it...ok

yawn!!
it's 10 pm now...time to go for my crunches and have to get up early tomorrow for my 6k run...

  1. so true...i can't agree more. the media has injected the 'importance of being lean' virus into us, that right now it is not ok to have unskimmed milk or an iced tea with no antioxident label on it. people fall for the '99% percent fat free' bandwagon...

just because celebs are supposed to keep an eye on their diet and looks, doesn't mean that normal people have to follow it. i just doesn't justify it. celebs are PAID to look good. we r not. i hope our society understands this sometime soon. BTW, to people who take long leaves to work out....GET A LIFE!!!

NOTE:- my current facebook status "i had this '99% fat free' iced coffee and i am 1% leaner now......" ;P
