the silent environmentalist

george carlin (i hope i spelled it right) once made fun of the fact that earth has been through a lot of shit than we can imagine....the meteors, the comets, the volcanoes, the bombs, the nuclear shit bombs, the this and the that.... and is still rotating the way it is supposed to be and the right speed... and we are worried about PLASTIC.... mere plastic...

truly speaking, I sometimes agree to this..
really i don't think that the plastic is the problem...
we are...

earth is more beautiful at places where there is no one...funny isn't it?
or may be the definition of beauty differs from person to person so this may not be right..

what intrigues me is, if we are the problem and a lot of us are doing something about it, then why are we not getting the results...
don't take this crap from others that EVERYONE is supposed to follow the right procedures in improving the eco-system.
hey...not EVRYONE runs the government...not EVERYONE runs the house...
there're just a couple or few people worried about the bigger picture, they pull up their socks and vollah.... the world runs at it's normal pace...
so if we do not need EVRYONE in this game plan of saving the planet... we already have few so called environmentalists....then why are we heading towards doomsday (as quoted by few of the environment freaks)
or are we really going down...??

since i have already told you about my beliefs, it would be taking a big flip if i own up being an environmentalist but hey... I am...in a way...
a lot of my friends have known me for a miser...
the three Rs have particularly grabbed my attention...

Reduce
Reuse
Recycle

i love em all...
not for the love of the planet, the animal or human kingdom...but simply for my own good..

here's a bit of personal finance which is in no way healthier for the environment or maybe...
our electricity bill can climb mountains...no kidding...it's equivalent to a weeks salary in 3 months...and imagine working that week when you know whatever you earn that week will go on your electiricity..
i found out one can save more than 10 percent just by turning the MAIN switch of an appliance..
the silly red light that's flashing on the TV...or monitor, even though it's not even ON...
it's costing 10 percent of the bill..
so not for the environment or any eco system, but simply for my purse system...i make sure i turn it off...

public transport is another example...
and the list goes on..

all are examples of personal finance...but on the whole...one can categorize me as an environmentalist...cool.. isn't it??

too easy
